You Me Gallery-George Wallace’s EDUCATIONAL EXPERIMENT

a continuing tale in five parts….
Artist and former art professor at University, George Wallace, died in Victoria in 2009.Ten years ago, his 24′ outdoor sculpture “Educational Experiment” (1969) at Mohawk College, was dismantled and placed in storage because of rust problems. The fragments on display are on loan from Mohawk College. Their display marks the beginning of our effort to resurrect the sculpture. Also on exhibit, a selection of Wallace’s graphic works.

The Printstudio-Core Images 2

“Core Images 2” is the culminating exhibition from The Print Studio’s two Art Education Programs: Artists in the Schools & Schools in the Studio and ECO Art. These programs bring artists into local schools and bring students into the studio to create
and produce age/stage appropriate print media. Through the use of print practices students express their understanding of the world around them.

The Open is an investigation into the natural and conquered worlds by two Hamilton-based artists. WAHC-Shift Change Sessions!

The Workers Arts & Heritage Centre embarks on their second edition of the Shift Change Sessions, the UNOFFICIAL afterparty of the James St. North Art Crawl!

Following the success of last years screening of Polydactyl Hearts Collective’s Le Cyc: A Bicycle Graphic Novel. The WAHC has invited the multimedia group back to the centre to perform their latest work, Hello Adventure. The piece feature, a full live band performing alongside evocative graphic images.

Hello Adventure was first screened at this year’s Images Festival in Toronto and even won an award!

But as if this weren’t enough, for all you who missed it or who cant wait to see it again, PHC will perform a second screening of Le Cyc.

Polydactyl Hearts Collective is a multimedia music/art collective based in Guelph, Ontario. The collective is made up of musicians Eihab Boraie (vocals/piano/synthesizer), Claire Whitehead (violin), Martin Eckart (saxophone/clarinet), Dan Paille (percussion), Andra Zommers (vibraphone/vocals), and Brad McInerney
(bass) with artist David Willekes providing the projected visual component.

Come join in the fun on Monday nights! Bring your knitting, crocheting, sewing, embroidery, or whatever crafts you enjoy doing. We can knit and bitch, embroider, cross stitch, etc. Learn a new skill and relax doing something you enjoy.
