I just got a message in the comments about a space available for a xmas mart! Read Bellow and also only contact them if you are serious!
We have an empty commercial space on Barton just around the corner from James St. North.
We are wondering if you know someone who would be interested in setting up a Christmas Market with a number of artisans. It’s approximately 1300 sq. ft. with 20′ frontage. Newly renovated, nice and clean. I’m thinking that if someone was interested in organizing this it would fit as many as 8 or 10 vendors with tables/display racks.
I’m sorry if this is an inappropriate post but I thought your blog would be a good place to start.
So this Coming ArtCrawl is on May13/11 and its going to madness! Why you ask, cause there will be a pop-up store in Hamilton! (sadly I really love the concept and have read about these for a while being in nyc, london, etc)
Preloved (Toronto and Montreal), Robber (Toronto), Fieldguided (Toronto), and Victoire (Ottawa), along with hometown heroes White Elephant and YarnOverMovement, are going to dazzle you with amazing clothes, accessories, deals! You have been hearing all about the wonder that is Hamilton’s art scene, now come experience it.
p.s:all you toronto folks there`s a express GO Bus from Toronto to Hamilton Takes about 1hr (non-rush hour) or express trains (5:02pm, 5:35pm, 6:35pm)
Also a bit of a blast from the past when Atomica Tattoo still lived on James St North it had some amazing art shows! Take a look at a video from one of those, its The Etcha Sketch Master! (fyi the atomica link goes to Petor’s new website/where you can go to see him and get a tattoo!)
So if you live or goto Toronto on a regular basis you still might not know about this amazing store there called Smash! I first found out about it due to some friends from Sheridan having a group show there. Its filled with beautiful odds and end lovingly picked up and waiting to be placed in your way too cool living or working space…… take a look at them
Also another thing of note was a article in the spectator about a Steam Punk Couple! Its pretty awesome and although I’m not into it at all I would love to see tons of Hamilton folks into this cause somehow I think it fits!
