Multimedia artist Juliana LaChance will be creating a colourfully stimulating expereince using paintings, installation and video. New work never befor seen as well as bring out archival early work to play upon the idea of the playfullness of creating without knowing what your doing, just like a child. Touching heavily upon the imagination and the infinite possiblities of creation.
THE FACTORY-IO LAB2
O Lab is an audio visualization pilot project encouraging media artists of all levels to test and share their experimental interactive works.
Audio Visualization is simply the visual representation (output) of an audio signal (input), the only IO Lab limitation is that all works must be designed to respond in real time either physically or in code.
This physical computing environment explores the blurry space where analog meets digital and in the interaction expresses something unexpected.
$100 GALLERY-TH&B THE CREST
The iconic emblem for the Toronto, Hamilton and Buffalo Railway, still ubiquitous in the southern Great Lakes region, is comprised of three capital letters, an ampersand, bound within a crest that features two swallowtails on either side. The crest is typically tilted down clockwise at a 15 degree angle. The TH&B collective, whose principal members include Simon Frank, Dave Hind, Ivan Jurakic, and Tor Lukasik-Foss, have used a modified version of this logo in their activities over the last decade. For the 100$ Gallery, the collective is pleased to present an array of small original works, much of it construed as an homage to the logo that continues to mark progress of all kinds in this region.
